Our research group has been a part of organizing the IX Conference on Childhood Studies “Childhood and Time” that will be held online on May 10 –12, 2021.
The conference is organized in collaboration with our colleagues from the Tampere Centre for Childhood, Youth and Family Research PERLA, the Finnish Society for Childhood Studies and Tampere university faculty of Education and Culture and faculty of Social Sciences.
Organizing the conference has been an interesting journey as it was first planned to be held live in Tampere during the spring of 2020 but then postponed for a year and now organized online.
Over 400 participants have registered and we are really excited. The presentations include very interesting insights into the field of childhood studies. The keynote speakers Prof. Veronica Pacini-Ketchabaw, Prof. John Potter and Prof. Kaisa Vehkalahti as well as the Panel discussion by Prof. Erica Burman, Dr. Stephanie Olsen, Prof. Spyros Spyrou and Prof. Hanne Warming will be very interesting to hear. We are also eager to see how the online implementation works.
